At Soundflik, artist verification helps build trust between artists and fans. A verified badge confirms that an account has been reviewed by Soundflik and represents the authentic artist, label, or rights holder.
Verification does not indicate endorsement by Soundflik or guarantee the quality or popularity of an artist's content.
1. Eligibility
To apply for verification, an artist must:
- Have an active Soundflik artist account.
- Complete their artist profile with accurate information.
- Upload at least one original song or other eligible content.
- Provide valid identification or business documentation when requested.
- Own or have the legal rights to all uploaded content.
- Comply with Soundflik's Terms of Service and all platform policies.
Meeting these requirements does not guarantee verification.
2. Verification Process
To verify an artist account, Soundflik may request:
- A valid government-issued ID.
- Business registration documents (if applying as a company or record label).
- Proof of ownership or authorization for the uploaded content.
- Additional information needed to confirm the identity of the applicant.
Soundflik reserves the right to approve or reject any verification request.
3. Benefits of Verification
Verified artists may receive access to additional platform features, including:
- A verified badge displayed on their profile.
- Eligibility to receive fan donations (subject to other requirements).
- Access to withdrawals from eligible earnings.
- Increased trust and credibility with fans.
- Early access to selected Soundflik features and promotional opportunities, when available.
4. Verification Fee
Where applicable, Soundflik may charge a non-refundable verification fee to cover the review and identity verification process.
Payment of the verification fee does not guarantee approval.
5. Maintaining Verification
Verified artists must:
- Keep their account information accurate and up to date.
- Continue to comply with Soundflik's policies.
- Upload only content they own or have permission to distribute.
- Avoid misleading fans or impersonating others.
6. Revocation of Verification
Soundflik may remove a verified badge or suspend an account if:
- False or misleading information was provided during verification.
- The account violates Soundflik's policies.
- Copyright infringement or other illegal activity is detected.
- The verified account is transferred or sold to another person without approval.
7. Appeals
If a verification request is denied or a verified badge is removed, the artist may submit a new application or contact Soundflik Support after resolving the issues that led to the decision.
8. Policy Updates
Soundflik may update this Artist Verification Policy at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
